Faraway Out is a small nature-inspired art and apparel company. We are family owned and operated, and based in Australia.

The 'Out' part of our name stands for Outside... or Outdoors... We encourage you to get 'out' as often as possible, and we hope to foster a greater interaction between people and the wonders of the Natural World!

Faraway Out is for those who feel or seek a deep connection to Nature and the outdoors… the wanderers, shell-seekers, mountaineers, mariners, explorers, botanists, surfers, hikers, fisherfolk, trailrunners, nature guides, waterfolk, gardeners, farmers and the like… 

We are seeking the essence of such outdoor pursuits. They would be empty passions without the environment in which we pursue them; without the Natural World. 

So we look beyond the pursuit, and try to capture a sense of our interaction with Nature… to attempt to distill some of the simple pleasures and sensations we feel when we spend time outdoors…

    Through our collections we pay homage to the original illustrators who, with an incredible sense of adventure and wonder captured 'The Art of Nature' so beautifully.

... the rustle of leaves, waving grass in the wind, the sensation of gliding underwater in a crystal-clear mountain stream, lying on the grass watching drifting clouds overhead, feeling a warm breeze, waking to the sound of waves breaking, hearing the crackling world of a coral reef while diving,  the sensation of tiny waves lapping your feet while shell-seeking…

We hope our products evoke a sense of wonder, dreaminess, nostalgia, timelessness…

We are in love with the Natural world. We seek simple natural beauty in all it’s wondrous forms. We are obsessed with the Art of Nature.

Above all we aim to instill a sense of reverence for the Natural World...

We believe that we humans are not apart from Nature, rather we are a part of Nature. We are inter-dependant on Nature and inter-connected with the Natural World.
